Ensure that all information requests and/or grassroots initiatives are acted upon in a timely manner. Email and voicemail should be checked daily at a minimum. When you will be unavailable for an extended length of time, you should notify your NLC member.
Serve as state legislative liaison.
Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to NATCA’s legislative agenda, current political candidates, and pertinent Congressional legislation.
Responsible for ensuring that a professional relationship is established and maintained with the state’s Congressional delegation and their staff.
Serve as liaison between the NLC, the Facility Legislative Representatives, and Congressional contacts for the following items:
Congressional election campaigns
Internal PAC campaigns
State/Facility level legislative issues
Ensure that legislative information and material is disseminated to the NATCA Facility Legislative Reps.
Ensure all Congressional meetings for NATCA in Washington and mini/rolling lobby weeks are scheduled and completed.
Keep their Regional Legislative Committee informed of state legislative issues, campaign involvement, and other applicable information.
Make the NATCA PAC a priority in your state and assist in regular facility PAC drives.
Inform your Regional Legislative Committee chair and coordinate with the NATCA National Director of Communications prior to any media correspondence.
Other functions as directed by their Regional Legislative Chair.
